Dear Friend,
Hello from Threaded Headquarters in the Midwestern USA! What season is it in your corner of the 🌎? It's summer here, and other than the Cicadapocolypse, things have been breezy, inspired, and exciting.
We've been hard at work developing the online app for The Threaded Global Book Project, and it is almost ready! Have you chosen which book you'll Thread next or where you will Thread it?
Summer travel season has us thinking about pairing books with travel destinations. One of the most fun parts of Threading books is having one pop up in just the perfect place. We witnessed this with Baylee's The Doll People Thread at Disney World and Daniela's Look Here Thread at Lago di Garda, Italy. As you cross-reference your itineraries with your book stacks, consider these ideas:

You don't have to travel far to find a free lending library in your town! Free libraries are great places to Thread books. Check out Book Lovers by Emily Henry in San Diego and Life on Delay by Hendrickson at the Land's End Trailhead in California. What book will you Thread in your local lending library?
We have received some questions related to the new Threaded book-tracking system. Here are some answers to the most common questions:
Question: I have requested and received book stickers in the mail that say "Not So Secret Book Club." Are those obsolete?
Answer: The new system will use new stickers, so yes, the old stickers will be obsolete soon. However, if you wish to Thread a book right now, just cross out the old Instagram handle and write in @the.threaded.project. We want finders to be able to log their finds, so adapt the old stickers until the new ones are ready. Remember to snap a photo of you with your book and DM us your photo along with the book's location.
Question: Is the app an app that you download from the App store? Can I get it now?
Answer: No, the app is not from the App store. The app is an online portal that you will access with a regular url (web address). You will be able to access it for free from any desktop or mobile device. The app will be free to use but will require registration so that your Threads are trackable. The app will be accessible very soon. Keep your 👀 on your email for notifications!
Question: My Book Club wants to partner with Threaded. Do you do partnerships?
Answer: Yes, we do! There are lots of fun ways to partner with Threaded, and we welcome all queries. Email thethreadedproject@icloud.com to submit your idea.
Question: Is Threaded for adults only, or can kids participate, too?
Answer: We absolutely welcome everyone's participation, no matter one's age! An adult will have to register on the app for the child, but children are welcome to track their own Threads.
